Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 15, 2026
Perennial (“Perennial,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) helps coaches and sports programs run their teams: schedules, rosters, scores, forms, and updates for families. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We’ve kept it plain on purpose.
The short version
- We collect only what the app needs to work.
- We do not sell your data. We never have and we don’t plan to.
- We do not use your data for advertising, and we don’t share it with advertisers.
- We use your data to run Perennial, keep it secure, and meet our legal obligations. That’s it.
If anything below is unclear, email us at support@perennialteams.comand we’ll explain.
Who this covers
Perennial is used by three kinds of people:
- Coaches and program admins who set up teams and manage them.
- Guardians (parents and family) who receive invites, sign forms, and RSVP.
- Public visitorswho view a team’s public schedule and results.
Players are usually minors. We don’t collect information directly from children. A coach or guardian enters a player’s information on their behalf. See “Children’s information” below.
What we collect
Information you give us:
- Account details when you sign up: your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile basics from Google. We do not receive your Google password, and we don’t request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, or contacts.
- Team and program content you create: team names, schedules, events, scores, rosters, and form responses.
- Player and guardian details you add to a roster: names, and contact info you choose to include.
- Anything you send us directly, like a support email.
Information we collect automatically:
- Basic technical data needed to run and secure the service: log data, device and browser type, and general usage such as which pages loaded. We use this to keep the app working and to fix problems, not to build advertising profiles.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Provide Perennial: create teams, publish schedules, deliver invites and updates, and show results.
- Keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- Respond to your questions and provide support.
- Meet legal requirements.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
When we share information
We share information only in these limited cases:
- Within a team.Content you post to a team is visible to the people in that team, and content you publish publicly is visible to anyone with the link. That’s the point of the app.
- Service providers. We use trusted companies to run Perennial, for example hosting, database, and email delivery. They may process data only to provide their service to us, under agreements that require them to protect it. They can’t use it for their own purposes.
- Legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.
- Business transfer. If Perennial is ever acquired or merged, data may transfer as part of that deal. We’ll notify you if that materially changes this policy.
We don’t share your information with anyone else for their own marketing.
Text messages (SMS)
If we add text messaging and you opt in, we’ll use your phone number only to send the messages you signed up for, such as schedule changes and team updates.
- We will not share your opt-in or phone number with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- You can reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
You can read the SMS terms in our Terms of Service.
Children’s information
Perennial is designed for coaches and guardians, not for direct use by children. We don’t knowingly let children under 13 create accounts.
When a coach or guardian adds a player who is a minor, they’re responsible for having the authority to share that information. We use a minor’s information only to provide the team features the coach and guardian are using, such as rosters, schedules, and RSVPs. We don’t use it for advertising and we don’t sell it.
If you’re a guardian and you want a child’s information removed, email support@perennialteams.comand we’ll take care of it. If you believe a child’s information was provided without proper authority, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Your choices
- Access and correction. You can view and edit most of your information directly in the app. For anything you can’t reach, email us.
- Deletion. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information. Email support@perennialteams.com. Some records may be kept where the law requires.
- Google sign-in. You can disconnect Perennial from your Google account in your Google account settings at any time.
How we protect and keep data
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe. We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the effective date and, where appropriate, tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Perennial after a change means you accept the updated policy.
